FAREEZA Binte Mohamed Fossil

Fareeza is a Legal Executive with extensive experience in all aspects of patents law. She undertakes patents advisory and prosecution work and manages an extensive patents portfolio of both local and overseas patents and patent applications. Additionally, she also conducts clearance searches, oversees the maintenance of granted patents, and advises clients on the commercialisation and exploitation of patent rights.

She started her career with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) where she was a Senior Patents Executive at the Registry of Patents where she was in charge of developing the electronic filing system (ePatents online filing system) for IPOS. She conducted training and presentations of the ePatents online filing system for practitioners and members of the IP community in Singapore. She also contributed to the manual published by IPOS for users of the ePatents online filing system. 

Prior to joining Donaldson & Burkinshaw, Fareeza was a Senior Legal Executive at a leading law firm specializing in intellectual property law.

Fareeza graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Minor in Law in 2001. 

She attended the Regional Capacity Building Workshop on Patent Drafting conducted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in conjunction with the IPOS.
