LEE Shy Tsong

Shy Tsong is a Partner in the Firm's Intellectual Property Practice. He was called to the Bar in 1994 and joined the Firm in 1996. He has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from National University of Singapore. In addition to his law degree, he holds an Advance Diploma in Computer Studies.

He specialises in all areas of intellectual property law. He has extensive experience in IP registration and manages IP portfolios worldwide. He has assisted clients in the following aspects:

  • advisory services across the full spectrum of IP issues, entertainment law, digital media, internet and information technology, electronic commerce, media and advertising
  • searching, clearance (including risk management and regulatory compliance), protection, management and maintenance of IP rights including trademarks, service marks, patents and designs
  • commercialisation, exploitation and licensing of IP rights including trademarks and technology transfers, licensing, agency and distributorship, franchising
  • protection of copyright
  • confidential information, non-disclosure agreements.

He is a registered Patent Agent in Singapore, and a member of the Association of Singapore Patent Attorneys (ASPA). He is also a registered Trademark and Industrial Design Agent in Malaysia.

He regularly attends IP conferences organised by the Asian Patent Attorney Association (APAA), ASEAN Intellectual Property Association (ASEAN IPA), and Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA). He conducts talks and seminars on IP laws and practices.
