LEO Chin Chin

Chin Chin is a Senior Legal Executive of the Firm, handling patents and trade mark matters.

Her experience in the intellectual property matters began in 1998 when she joined a leading Singapore law firm as a legal executive, where she handled both patent and trade mark matters. Chin Chin’s subsequent employment with a medium-sized law firm enhanced her interest in intellectual property work as she dealt independently with all aspects of trade mark and patent matters, including searches as well as the full prosecution and registration process for local and foreign applications. She later joined a boutique IP practice, where she undertook both patent and licensing work.

In the Firm, she is entrusted with the patent and trade mark portfolios of several key local and international clients. She handles all aspects of patents and trade mark work including the filing and prosecution of applications, maintenance of granted patents and registered marks, commercialization of rights and enforcement and exploitation of rights in Singapore and overseas.

Chin Chin keeps herself abreast of developments in the intellectual property field by participating in various IP-related courses and seminars.  She attended and passed the South East Asian Patent Drafting Training Course (SEAD) organized by Federation Internationale Des Conseils En Propriete Industrielle (FICPI) in 2001.  In 2008, Chin Chin attended the Regional Capacity Building Workshop on Patent Drafting conducted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in conjunction with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) in 2008.  Chin Chin has also been attending several workshops organized by the IP Academy (Singapore).
