
Yixian is a Senior Associate with the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice and the Medico-Legal Practice Group of Donaldson & Burkinshaw.
She has worked on a variety of civil and commercial cases relating to different aspects of law including intellectual property, commercial contracts, tenancy and land law, family, probate, defamation and insolvency.
With a keen interest in medico-legal work, Yixian has assisted, advised and represented doctors in a variety of medical negligence and malpractice claims, professional misconduct complaints and disciplinary proceedings before the Singapore Medical Council. She also assists in research work for the Singapore Medical Association's Task Force on Professional Conduct and Standards.
Yixian currently serves as an elected member of the Council of the Law Society of Singapore. She is the Council Representative on the Information Technology Committee which provides assistance and guidance on IT matters including electronic litigation. Yixian also volunteers at the Community Legal Clinics run by the Law Society's Pro Bono Services Office which provides free basic legal advice and information to needy members of the community.
Yixian graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree in 2008. She joined Donaldson and Burkinshaw after admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2009.
