KRAAL Michael Stephen

Michael is a Partner in our Intellectual Property Practice.

He practises in all aspects of intellectual property law. He oversees the trademark and patent portfolios of many of Donaldson & Burkinshaw's most prestigious clients including clients in the consumer food, petrochemical, retail, information technology, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. He has also acted for the Singapore Government, other local and international trade bodies and has sat on various professional committees concerning intellectual property matters.

Michael is a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) and has been serving on the Executive Committee of the APAA (Singapore) since 2001, including a tenure as Editor of the Association's Digest. He is a registered Patent Agent in Singapore, and a member of the Association of Singapore Patent Agents (ASPA).

Michael joined Donaldson & Burkinshaw in 1995. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1993 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree and underwent his pupillage with Ella Cheong & G Mirandah specialising in intellectual property law. Michael was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1994 and has since continued his practice in intellectual property law.
