
Michelle is a Partner in our Intellectual Property Practice.
She undertakes a wide range of contentious and non-contentious IP matters for clients across a wide range of industries, both in the public and private sectors, many of whom are leaders in their respective fields. Apart from advising on and structuring transactions involving IP rights, she also manages extensive trade mark, patent, industrial design and domain name portfolios on behalf of our clients.
Michelle is effectively bilingual. She is regularly called upon to contribute to a number of leading legal publications, including the Singapore chapter of Worldwide Trademark Transfers: Law and Practice published by the International Trademark Association (INTA) and LEX-MUNDI's Report identifying major changes in Singapore's intellectual property laws in line with the TRIPS Agreement.
She is a Registered Patent Agent, a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group (PTMG) and the Association of Singapore Patent Agents (ASPA). As a member of INTA, she has served on the Law & Practice (Asia-Pacific) Sub-Committee of the INTA Bulletin Committee.
Michelle also regularly contributes her time as a volunteer at the IP public consultation sessions organised by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS).
After graduating on the Dean's List in 1996 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from the National University of Singapore, Michelle served her pupillage with Donaldson & Burkinshaw and was admitted in 1997 as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Michelle is also admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
